Thanks for dropping by. Here are the promised photo samples from the brand new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Huge thanks to Samsung Australia for getting this phone to be a week early so I could test it before everyone else.

Majority of the lenses and cameras are the same from the S23 Ultra however, the 10x has been changed to a 5x, and the sensor has been upgraded from a 12MP to a huge 50MP. This has allowed Samsung to give us a 5x 50MP lens and a 10x 12MP lens from the same sensor and lens combo. It uses the middle section of the 50MP sensor and the 5x lens to give you an optical quality 10x 12MP photo. Dropping the lens to a 5x focal length allows them to improve the aperture from f/4.9 to f/3.4 (genius huh!?). I would assume the aperture improvement came because of this.

I’m pumped for the newer better quality super telephoto lenses in the S24 Ultra. From what I can tell the quality has been improved - as has the low light performance of this lens.The photos below are unedited and straight from cam. Enjoy.

S23 ULTRA 10X (F/4.9) VS S24 ULTRA 10X (F/3.4)

On the left is the S23 Ultra, the right is the S24 Ultra. There is a clear visible improvement in low light performance. Both were shot handheld (it was quite dark).
