Create & Explore 009 : Branden Lee x HWLS

From the director, Braden Lee: "Tokyo is this futuristic-dystopian metropolis rich in tradition and modernism. My goal was to merge these two themes. Throughout the story we follow two contemporary dancers to the famous Shibuya 5-way crossing. We also observe a mysterious masked figure. This ominous mask comes from a theatrical drama called "Noh" which the Japanese have been practicing since the 14th century. The actual mask you see here is over 400 yrs old and represents an angel - passed down through generations. Today, there's just a handful left performing Noh as it solely depends on the disinterested youth to keep it alive" Stream song here : https://soundcloud.com/hwls/005a Follow Braden Lee on Instagram - instagram.com/againstgiants Follow HWLS on Soundcloud - soundcloud.com/hwls Create & Explore on; Instagram - instagram.com/createexplore Soundcloud - soundcloud.com/createandexplore Website - http://createandexplore.co Dancers & Choreography: Daisuke Omiya, Ayumi Nitta Video Production: Grant Spanier Intro Sound Mix: Greg Geitzenauer

This video is too good not to share. If you like Japanese culture, music & cinematography, you need to check this video out. This create explore episode features a two dancers doing their thing through Tokyo.

If you don't know already, Create & Explore (@createexplore on Instagram) is the brain child of Ta-Ku & Michael Salisbury, where they bring together a collaboration between sight and sound.

They revive the dying music video genre by connecting a visual and music artist in a very rad way. Definitely worth checking out their previous episodes.
