Finding the Perfect Travel Laptop for Creators

Hi friends, if you’re in the market for a new travel laptop that can handle your photo & video editing I’ve got just the right one for you. I review the Gigabyte AERO 15" OLED. Tech specs aside - you’re going to have to trust me that this thing is a beast! I finally found a laptop that can playback and edit Canon EOS R5 footage - something which was suprising to me as there are reports that the USD$15,000 Mac Pro (fully spec’d) can’t even playback the 4K footage properly.

The things I look for in a Travel laptop:

Travel Readiness. I’m usually on the move, jumping on and off flights and working out of hotels and cafes. Last year I spent about 6 months abroad. This is why I need my main working compuyter to be the same one that I carry with me everywhere. I have a few friends who have a powerful home computer, and often have to wait until they get home before they can properly start editing. Don’t get me wrong, a home setup with nice dual monitors and a clicky-clacky mechnical keyboard is great, but give me powerful portability anyday.

Performance. Like I stated above, I need to be able to edit my full video projects and photos wherever I am. I am willing to sacrifice the portability aspect a little for performance - I’d rather have a slightly bigger laptop that works, than a slim laptop that I can only browse the internet & answer emails with.

High quality screen. I am a photographer filmmaker so a high quality (4K) colour accurate screen is a high priority for me. It annoys me to no end when I edit on one screen and it looks completely different on another screen. Also who doesn’t like watching Netflix and YouTube in the max quality.

I’m happy to say the Gigabyte AERO 15” OLED ticks all these boxes. You’ll have to watch the video review to find out the details and specs.
Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try get back to you.
